Wyoming Mountain Lion Hunts
Mountain Lion hunts take place November – January when snow is on the ground providing us with the best tracking conditions. We use 4×4 vehicles, ATV’s or Snow Machines to look for and locate lion tracks. After a track is found the dogs are put on the scent to trail and follow the track putting the cat in a tree. Lion hunts can be physically strenuous but also super fun and exciting. It is very rewarding after you have followed a pack of bawling hounds up the side of a mountain to a tree where a big Tom awaits. Depending upon where we are hunting accommodations consist of a lodge, a hotel or ranch house. Note: Lion tags can be purchased over the counter.
My brother Clint guides and conducts our cat hunting. Clint has some of the best hunting dogs in Wyoming and without exception they know where to find tracks and how to put a cat in a tree. Clint spends countless hours and miles each morning during lion season looking for tracks. Thanks to Clint and his great dogs we have had a 100% success on putting a cat in a tree for our clients. Depending upon where we are hunting accommodations consist of a lodge, a hotel or ranch house. For more details or information about lion hunts give Clint a call (435) 757-9415. I’m sure he is looking for a track already.
